About The Trek
Sahastra Tal Trek is one of Uttarakhand's most beautiful high-altitude
trekking destinations. Located at an elevation of 15,580 ft in the
Bhilangana Valley, this hidden glacial lake is surrounded by alpine
meadows, snow-covered peaks, dense forests, and breathtaking Himalayan
landscapes.
The trek starts from Uttarkashi and passes through picturesque villages,
lush green forests, Kush Kalyan Bugyal, Kyarki, Lamb Tal, and finally
reaches the sacred Sahastra Tal Lake. This challenging trek is perfect
